Let's Have a Holiday Challenge!

So, hi? This is definitely by far the longest I've gone without posting anything. And someone gently reminded me that by not updating the blog, every time you look in here you were forced to look at a big photo of fake Han Solo, and we really can't have that.

So, the reason for this post is basically a ploy to get people writing! And what better way than to offer a challenge! We can call it the holiday challenge, however this does not mean that your story has to have anything to do with actual holidays.

Then, what are the rules of the challenge? Um, I guess the biggest rule is just: have fun! Too many rules. But, well, how about some general guidelines? Yeah, let's start there.

1. Fic should be submitted sometime between the moment this post goes up, and, um, Valentine's Day? That seems like a reasonable length of time. January would be awesome, but do not fret about being "late." I mean honestly, if you want to answer a challenge from 2012, go right ahead. There is always room for more.

2. Ok, so some prompts for those who like prompts:

• A story related to holidays/gifts
• A story that includes your favorite trope. Or multiple tropes. Challenge yourself to include as many tropes as possible.
• A story relating to snow
• A story that includes food
• Maybe some other prompt to be named later if someone has a good idea. 

3. For this particular challenge my main request is that we are writing Han and Leia as two people who love each other (or are going to, if you choose to write something in the pre-ESB era) and who will not be torn apart by an evil son. This is a Ben-Solo-free zone.

4. Stories will be posted here as they are submitted, unless the author requests otherwise. Or if you prefer to just post it on whatever site you like to do your posting, it's really up to you.

5. Make sure you are submitting a final draft of your story to me and take care of all editing.
