I know. Things are always slow this time of year. It's a pattern. So for any of you worried we're disappearing forever, I don't think that is the case. Minds are just elsewhere for the most part right now. I will say though that I at least finally got my hands on Scoundrels again (after getting it from the library for 6 weeks starting in September and then never actually reading it) and am about a quarter of the way through and am enjoying it.
This post is just to bring something to your attention, because if I didn't know about it, I'd want one of you to tell me. And it's certainly relevant to all of us here. I stumbled on this while browsing buzzfeed and trying to put off doing real work. I should warn you that buzzfeed can really suck you in for lengthy periods of time so don't go there unless you're willing to endure that. So, here you go:
You're welcome.
Oh my Lord, I think I need a cold shower. How is it possible to have so much hotness on one page? He was just soooo hot back in the day, wasn't he? He still looks great for his age, but damn, he was smokin'. Thanks for the visual feast Zyra :)
ReplyDeleteCold shower. Long walk. He was darn dreamy back then
ReplyDeleteIt's getting very warm in here...
ReplyDeleteBTW, older Harrison Ford: no slouch. When you're my age, you'll see it :)
Thank you. After a bit of a crappy (can I say that?) weekend and looking forward to a crappy week, this link will keep me from just throwing in the towel completely. And I agree.. older Harrison has still got it.
ReplyDeleteHey, nobody is knocking present day Harrison Ford. I'm still less than half his age and definitely find him quite attractive even in his geriatric years :) That said, nothing compares to young Harrison Ford. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteWhen ANH came out in 1977, I don't think there was a woman past the age of puberty who didn't fall for this guy :)
DeleteTotally agree. NOBODY compares to young Harrison.. Nobody then and nobody now.
DeleteWay to start the happy holiday season.
ReplyDeleteI want to go to there.
ReplyDeleteNice 30 Rock reference! It's fairly clear to me that Tina Fey wants to go there, too. If you pay attention, her Han/Leia references are legion. I have a secret theory that she's a fanfic writer :-)
DeleteLOVE 30 Rock and yes, she has lots of Star Wars references. My favorite was when she finally told her boyfriend "I Love You" and he replied, "I Know" because he knew that's exactly what she'd want to hear BECAUSE it was in the movie and she goes, "You Solo'd me!" And they high fived and lived happily ever after once they got married with her wearing her Princess Leia costume. Seriously.
DeleteYou could totally be right about her being a fanfic writer. The Star Wars obsession plus there were a few references in the show to fanfic, although notably the references were always to really weird stuff like "...two male centaurs kissing..." (yes, that was actually in an episode) but I bet she at least reads :)
Ever seen this random Golden Globes promo where she talks about taking a picture of herself with Harrison Ford in the background?

I love those two! And yeah- Tina Fey seems like quite the fan of Han Solo. There is also a reference to her character on 30 Rock as a child having a poster of him on her wall. Love that show! :D
DeleteI remember her on some late night show saying something along the lines of, what she took away from SW was Han and Leia's relationship. :D
DeleteHan Solo poster AND Kermit the Frog poster. Seriously, it's like we're the same person. I remember that talk show, too. I also just came across an article where Tina Fey and Amy Poehler announce that they are going to be in the next Star Wars movie: as Darth Vader's mothers.
DeleteThank you, that was awesome.
ReplyDelete"This gif just got you pregnant!" HAHAHA! I WISH!
ReplyDeleteMeeo-ww...I approve.
ReplyDeleteAnd high five to the 30 Rock reference!
