Just for fun, we are opening up the blog to questions from our faithful readers. If there is a question you've always wanted to ask us, give it here and in another blog post in the near future we will answer them. Although I will admit that we reserve the right to not answer any questions. So, no, you cannot have my social security number. You'd be unimpressed with my bank statement anyway.
So let us know if there is anything you want to know. And do us a favor, even if you don't have any real questions, at least humor us and ask like, what our favorite color is or something. Also, you can specify questions to one or both of us. Make it fun!

Have you seen Cowboys & Aliens? If not, you should. Pretty good. And Harrison's hair is a little longer again (like a certain scruffy-looking nerf herder), although it's covered by a hat pretty much the entire time.
Would you ever write a story in the wrong order? As in, would you write the last half of the story first? For both of you.

Where do you start when writing a story? Do you think up a specific line or scene and work around that or do you think out the plot from start to finish before typing a word? Or does it change from story to story?
ReplyDeleteIf you could meet Harrison Ford in person, what is the first thing you would say to him? Let's just say you only get two minutes with him. What questions would you ask? Ex. "What was it like to be Han Solo?" pretty basic question but you get the idea. :- )

How do you get your ideas? Do have anything you do if you want to get the creativity flowing? Do you ever look at an idea or a scene and think it sounds too much like what someone else wrote?

I started out asking Zyra this, but I think it might benefit the group. Do you have any tools or things you do when you need to come up with plot ideas, like to generate ideas for scenes or fill wholes in a plot or to figure out what comes next? I would think it would be really useful in multi chapter stories and possibly even one shots. I was thinking mind mapping might help, but didn't know if you had specific things that worked for you.
