Answer the Challenges!

We've been having a lot of fun here with the comments and stuff and it's been great, but we've thrown out some challenges recently and gotten no response! Come on, people! Missing moments from Tatooine Ghost and Heir to the Empire are calling to you! Look how mad Han is up there? Looking at us all disappointed, knowing that without us, he never gets to have sex with Leia!

So step up to the plate and don't be shy. Really. If you've never written anything before give it a shot. It's so easy, the plot is laid out for you already, you just have to make up what happens within it. Or those of you who've written before, jump in once again. This blog has gotten more and more fun the more people start commenting and surely will continue to get even more enjoyable when more people start contributing to these challenges. I realize we are just as guilty, but come on, we can't be responsible for all of the entertainment!

So let's see some challenge responses, people! Let us know if you have anything.

  1. I really want to write a challenge response, but real life has been particularly horrible to me lately. I'm having heaps of trouble even writing new chapters for my ongoing stories. If I do come up with something though, I'll definitely write it down and share it!

  2. WHATEVER YOU SAY HAN.

I want to, I just need to decide what the hell to write. Hah! Make a decision...

  3. Having a senior moment here. What was the missing moment from Heir? Couldn't remember a specific one that came up.

  4. Well, maybe not within the pages of Heir, but when Leia tells Han that she is pregnant.

  5. I think I will write one of these challenges...hmmm...thinking...hmmm

  6. Thanks, Zyra. Hmmm....I'll be thinking about it....

  7. Hmm... The Heir one could be quite fun. might have a shot at that if I get time.

  8. LOL, the word google just made me type was 'bacta' :)

  9. Get outta here..bacta....really???? Is that a word in our universe?

I will write something....someday....maybe not anytime soon...but I am thinking about it.

I am looking forward to reading everyone else's missing moments, always enjoy those types of fanfic.

  10. Ha...safari keeps wanting to correct bacta to baca. Go figure.

I'm leaning towards Han's reaction to Leia changing her mind.

  11. Yes, Leia changing her mind. I knew there was another one. We all know what the other missing moment was from Tatooine Ghost, right?

  12. Still think we should write quickies based off the 10 worse places for them to consummate their relationship. Just a thought...

  13. No rules, just write. Almost like Burger King except for the right/write part. See what I did there? By all means, please write some of those!

  14. Haha, amara, I wanna try to write some of those, too! I also think someone should write a one shot where Leia force - lifts Han.

  15. I might actually need to read Tatooine Ghost though. Little behind in my EU reading.

  16. Wow! This should be fun considering last time!

  17. Oh my goodness, it actually allowed me to comment! I haven't been able to the past few months! It kept on kicking me out!

    Ladies, I'm baacck!

  18. Well, can I use the excuse that I've never read Tatooine Ghost (although I kind of want to now...that and Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor actually sound pretty good) and haven't read Heir in about 15 years?

I suppose I could write Leia telling Han she's pregnant though, if I either gloss over any EU-ish details or just decide not to care if the details are canon compliant?

I'm definitely in favor of reading anything that anyone ELSE comes up with!

  19. Even if you aren't into the EU, you really should read Tatooine Ghost, and Shadows of Mindor is great too, both essential for Han and Leia fans I would say. And you don't need prior knowledge of anything EU to enjoy them.

  20. I am also thinking of writing a missing moment or something. If only to exercise my flabby writing muscle.

  21. Welcome back, POTS! Zyra and I were just wondering if we had lost you to Harry Potter or Twilight or something. Glad you're still around.

Hikari: I don't think anyone will mind if you are fuzzy on the EU details.

  22. Princess of the scoundrels, we haven't met on here before since I emerged from lurker land while you were gone, but welcome back anyway!!

I agree with Push, don't worry about conforming to the EU, most people probably wouldn't care at all. Besides most of the best fanfic doesn't even touch the existing EU.

  23. That's good to hear about the EU details. As Zyra said, no rules. But it does sometimes give me a framework sometimes.

  24. Never! Haha I've been reading Twilight lately only to try and have more solid proof as to why it's awful. So far the series has been the worst set of books I've ever read. And as for Harry, I love Star Wars more.
I've read every single post on here, it just didn't allow me to comment.

  25. Ugh, that must have been SO ANNOYING, Princess of the Scoundrels! (Haha, I love your name) :) Welcome back!

  26. How do you submit a story? I've got one that I just wrote, but I don't know how to get it to you. Yes, I'm a techie loser.

  29. Ooo...we have our first story I hope? I'm working on something, but not sure how long it will take me to turn it around yet.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm trying to think up something to write tonight. I'm not sure which challenge I want to take up just yet. Hmmm...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yay! And no rushing, no feeling you have deadlines, and also, it is never too late. So if you read this 6 months from now and have a story idea, write it!

Also, no need to choose, LadyxB, just write all of them ;)

  32. We have our first story! Seams2Be has sent me her submission and it will be published tomorrow (Monday). :-)

    ReplyDelete
  33. That will probably be me, sending mine in six months from now....:)

    Looking forward to Seams2be's story!

  34. I just finished my response to the challenge. I probably will take up another challenge at some point as well, but for now, I have to focus on the story I'm writing on ff.net. Let me know who to send it to!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yep, I'll be sending mine in about six months from now too, Claire :) Actually, I may have some time in a couple of weeks to write, after I've finished the story that I am trying desperately to finish before school starts. Looking forward to the other stories!

  36. Ok girls, I've started writing....something. Haven't written much so far but I've made a start. I've been reading the blogs on this site about writing your first fic and writing sexy time and found them helpful.

Don't expect this to be finished anytime soon, I am slow, and don't get that much free time and I'm not even going to promise that I will ever finish it anyway. But I'm going to try.

  37. Go for it, Claire! That is neat some of the blog posts helped.

  38. LadyxB, You can contact me on ff.net to send me what you have.
